A lesson in patience ...

Mom has started trying to teach us how to sit. Of course, Pooka, already knows how to sit. And, because she's such a pleaser and goody-two-shoes, as soon as Mom says "sit", she does. Emma only seems interested when she knows there's food involved. Or sometimes a walk. But, then, only because she'll get a cookie when we get back from walking. Chloe, on the other hand ... Chloe pretends she's either deaf or stupid. She won't sit no matter how many times we practice. Mom pushes her butt down (ok, half the time ... Chloe tenses her muscles so Mom can't even do that) and then immediately stands back up. Mom's even threatened us with not getting our walk until we sit. She seems to think that if she makes us sit before opening the door, we won't barge past her. Of course, that would mean we couldn't jockey for position going out the door, and none of us want to be the last one out the door. We might miss something! Hopefully Mom gives up soon ...

We miss Jenna!

One day she was here ... the next she wasn't. Where'd she go? We don't know.

We should have know when they started laying out all kinds of things on the couch. That usually means they're packing. But, we didn't have to go stay at the place with all the other dogs (btw, we don't like it there -- the beds aren't soft and cozy like our bed, we have to hang out with non-pugs (!), and they clip our toenails!!!). But, mom didn't go anywhere so we figured we were spared. But, no Jenna. Sniff.

Am I in trouble?

Hey, I didn't do anything with her, honest! I just want her to come home so I can lick her.

We did hear her voice the other day, so we know she's around here somewhere. We're still looking.

Stay out of our airspace!

What is with these birds? They fly really high, make a lot of noise, fly alone, and seem to fly the same pattern a few minutes after the bird in front of them. Of course, we let it be known that they are not welcome in our airspace. So far, it hasn't detered them. They keep coming back. We keep barking and chasing them on the deck.

Oh, right. A few weeks ago, there were six of them flying together. We had to run inside and hide, they were so loud. Our people said they were blue angels. They must have been really angry. Do angels get angry?

We want to go to the puppy park!

Everyday, they ask us if we want to go to the puppy park. And, everyday we give them our best "cute" faces. And, everyday they laugh at us and ask if we want chicken pot pie. What the hell does chicken pot pie have to do with going to the puppy park? We think they're nuts.
